Exodus 11:6-9
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 11
6
So there shall be a great cry in all the land of Egypt, such as there has not been
before
and such as shall never be again.
7
But not
even
a dog will threaten any of the sons of Israel,
nor anything
from person to animal, so that you may learn how the
Lord
distinguishes between Egypt and Israel.’
8
And all these servants of yours will come down to me and bow themselves before me, saying, ‘Go out, you and all the people who follow you,’ and after that I will go out.' And he left Pharaoh in the heat of anger.
9
Then the
Lord
said to Moses, 'Pharaoh will not listen to you, so that My wonders will be multiplied in the land of Egypt.'
King James Version
Chapter 11
6
And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.
7
But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the
Lord
doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.
8
And all these thy servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that follow thee: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.
9
And the
Lord
said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 11
6
Then there will be a great cry of anguish through all the land of Egypt such as never was before or ever will be again.
7
But against all the Israelites, whether people or animals, not even a dog will snarl, so that you may know that the
Lord
makes a distinction between Egypt and Israel.
8
All these officials of yours will come down to me and bow before me, saying: Get out, you and all the people who follow you. After that, I will get out." And he went out from Pharaoh’s presence fiercely angry.
9
The
Lord
said to Moses, "Pharaoh will not listen to you, so that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt."
New Living Translation
Chapter 11
6
Then a loud wail will rise throughout the land of Egypt, a wail like no one has heard before or will ever hear again.
7
But among the Israelites it will be so peaceful that not even a dog will bark. Then you will know that the
Lord
makes a distinction between the Egyptians and the Israelites.
8
All the officials of Egypt will run to me and fall to the ground before me. ‘Please leave!’ they will beg. ‘Hurry! And take all your followers with you.’ Only then will I go!' Then, burning with anger, Moses left Pharaoh.
9
Now the
Lord
had told Moses earlier, 'Pharaoh will not listen to you, but then I will do even more mighty miracles in the land of Egypt.'
English Standard Version
