Otherwise, you may say in your heart, ‘My power and the strength of my hand made me this wealth.’
18
But you are to remember the
Lord
your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, in order to confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as
it is
this day.

mine
hand hath gotten me this wealth.

But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for
it is
he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as

You may say to yourself, 'My power and my own ability have gained this wealth for me,'

but remember that the Lord your God gives you the power to gain wealth, in order to confirm his covenant he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

He did all this so you would never say to yourself, ‘I have achieved this wealth with my own strength and energy.’

Remember the
Lord
your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful, in order to fulfill the covenant he confirmed to your ancestors with an oath.

You shall remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
