Chapter 32
9For the Lord’S portion is His people; Jacob is the allotment of His inheritance. 10He found him in a desert land, And in the howling wasteland of a wilderness; He encircled him, He cared for him, He guarded him as the apple of His eye. 11As an eagle stirs up its nest, And hovers over its young, He spread His wings, He caught them, He carried them on His pinions. 12The Lord alone guided him, And there was no foreign god with him. 13He had him ride on the high places of the earth, And he ate the produce of the field; And He had him suck honey from the rock, And oil from the flinty rock, 14Curds of the herd, and milk of the flock, With fat of lambs And rams, the breed of Bashan, and of goats, With the best of the wheat; And you drank wine of the blood of grapes. 15'But Jeshurun became fat and kicked— You have become fat, thick, and obstinate— Then he abandoned God who made him, And rejected the Rock of his salvation. 16They made Him jealous with strange gods; With abominations they provoked Him to anger. 17They sacrificed to demons, who were not God, To gods whom they have not known, New gods who came lately, Whom your fathers did not know. 18You forgot the Rock who fathered you, And forgot the God who gave you birth. 19'The Lord saw this, and spurned them Because of the provocation by His sons and daughters. 20Then He said, ‘I will hide My face from them, I will see what their end will be; For they are a perverse generation, Sons in whom there is no faithfulness.King James Version

9For the LORD'S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance. 10He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. 11As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: 12So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him. 13He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock; 14Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape.
15But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
16They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.
17They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.
18Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.

9But the Lord's portion is his people, Jacob, his own inheritance. 10He found him in a desolate land, in a barren, howling wilderness; he surrounded him, cared for him, and protected him as the pupil of his eye. 11He watches over his nest like an eagle and hovers over his young; he spreads his wings, catches him, and carries him on his feathers. 12The Lord alone led him, with no help from a foreign god. 13He made him ride on the heights of the land and eat the produce of the field. He nourished him with honey from the rock and oil from flinty rock,
14curds from the herd and milk from the flock, with the fat of lambs, rams from Bashan, and goats, with the choicest grains of wheat; you drank wine from the finest grapes.
15Then Jeshurun became fat and rebelled -- you became fat, bloated, and gorged. He abandoned the God who made him and scorned the Rock of his salvation.
16They provoked his jealousy with different gods; they enraged him with detestable practices.
17They sacrificed to demons, not God, to gods they had not known, new gods that had just arrived, which your ancestors did not fear.
18You ignored the Rock who gave you birth; you forgot the God who gave birth to you.
19When the Lord saw this, he despised them, angered by his sons and daughters.
20He said, "I will hide my face from them; I will see what will become of them, for they are a perverse generation -- unfaithful children.

9'For the people of Israel belong to the Lord; Jacob is his special possession. 10He found them in a desert land, in an empty, howling wasteland. He surrounded them and watched over them; he guarded them as he would guard his own eyes. 11Like an eagle that rouses her chicks and hovers over her young, so he spread his wings to take them up and carried them safely on his pinions. 12The Lord alone guided them; they followed no foreign gods. 13He let them ride over the highlands and feast on the crops of the fields. He nourished them with honey from the rock and olive oil from the stony ground. 14He fed them yogurt from the herd and milk from the flock, together with the fat of lambs. He gave them choice rams from Bashan, and goats, together with the choicest wheat. You drank the finest wine, made from the juice of grapes.
15'But Israel soon became fat and unruly; the people grew heavy, plump, and stuffed! Then they abandoned the God who had made them; they made light of the Rock of their salvation.
16They stirred up his jealousy by worshiping foreign gods; they provoked his fury with detestable deeds.
17They offered sacrifices to demons, which are not God, to gods they had not known before, to new gods only recently arrived, to gods their ancestors had never feared.
18You neglected the Rock who had fathered you; you forgot the God who had given you birth.

12The LORD alone led him; no foreign god was with him.
13He made him ride on the heights of the land and fed him with the fruit of the fields. He nourished him with honey from the rock, and with oil from the flinty crag,
14with curds and milk from herd and flock and with fattened lambs and goats, with choice rams of Bashan and the finest kernels of wheat. You drank the foaming blood of the grape.
15Jeshurun grew fat and kicked; filled with food, they became heavy and sleek. They abandoned the God who made them and rejected the Rock their Savior.
16They made him jealous with their foreign gods and angered him with their detestable idols.
17They sacrificed to false gods, which are not God-- gods they had not known, gods that recently appeared, gods your ancestors did not fear.
18You deserted the Rock, who fathered you; you forgot the God who gave you birth.
19The LORD saw this and rejected them because he was angered by his sons and daughters.
20I will hide my face from them,' he said, 'and see what their end will be; for they are a perverse generation, children who are unfaithful.
