Deuteronomy 32:31-36
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 32
31Indeed, their rock is not like our Rock; Even our enemies themselves judge this. 32For their vine is from the vine of Sodom, And from the fields of Gomorrah; Their grapes are grapes of poison, Their clusters, bitter. 33Their wine is the venom of serpents, And the deadly poison of vipers. 34‘Is it not stored up with Me, Sealed up in My treasuries? 35Vengeance is Mine, and retribution; In due time their foot will slip. For the day of their disaster is near, And the impending things are hurrying to them.’ 36For the Lord will vindicate His people, And will have compassion on His servants, When He sees that their strength is gone, And there is none remaining, bond or free.King James Version
Chapter 32
31For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges. 32For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter: 33Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps. 34Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures? 35To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste. 36For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 32
31But their "rock" is not like our Rock, as even our enemies concede. 32For their vine is from the vine of Sodom and from the fields of Gomorrah. Their grapes are poisonous; their clusters are bitter.
33Their wine is serpents' venom, the deadly poison of cobras.
34"Is it not stored up with me, sealed up in my vaults?
35Vengeance and retribution belong to me. In time their foot will slip, for their day of disaster is near, and their doom is coming quickly."
36The Lord will indeed vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants when he sees that their strength is gone and no one is left--slave or free.
