Deuteronomy 32:28-34
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 32
28'For they are a nation destitute of counsel, And there is no understanding in them. 29If only they were wise and they understood this; If only they would discern their future! 30How could one chase a thousand, And two put ten thousand to flight, Unless their Rock had sold them, And the Lord had given them up? 31Indeed, their rock is not like our Rock; Even our enemies themselves judge this. 32For their vine is from the vine of Sodom, And from the fields of Gomorrah; Their grapes are grapes of poison, Their clusters, bitter. 33Their wine is the venom of serpents, And the deadly poison of vipers. 34‘Is it not stored up with Me, Sealed up in My treasuries?King James Version
Chapter 32
28For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them. 29O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end! 30How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up? 31For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges. 32For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter: 33Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps. 34Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures?Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 32
28Israel is a nation lacking sense with no understanding at all. 29If only they were wise, they would comprehend this; they would understand their fate. 30How could one pursue a thousand, or two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the Lord had given them up? 31But their "rock" is not like our Rock, as even our enemies concede. 32For their vine is from the vine of Sodom and from the fields of Gomorrah. Their grapes are poisonous; their clusters are bitter.New Living Translation
Chapter 32
28'But Israel is a senseless nation; the people are foolish, without understanding. 29Oh, that they were wise and could understand this! Oh, that they might know their fate! 30How could one person chase a thousand of them, and two people put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the Lord had given them up? 31But the rock of our enemies is not like our Rock, as even they recognize. 32Their vine grows from the vine of Sodom, from the vineyards of Gomorrah. Their grapes are poison, and their clusters are bitter. 33Their wine is the venom of serpents, the deadly poison of cobras.English Standard Version
Chapter 32
28“For they are a nation void of counsel, and there is no understanding in them. 29If they were wise, they would understand this; they would discern their latter end! 30How could one have chased a thousand, and two have put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had given them up? 31For their rock is not as our Rock; our enemies are by themselves. 32For their vine comes from the vine of Sodom and from the fields of Gomorrah; their grapes are grapes of poison; their clusters are bitter; 33their wine is the poison of serpents and the cruel venom of asps. 34“‘Is not this laid up in store with me, sealed up in my treasuries?New International Version
Chapter 32
28They are a nation without sense, there is no discernment in them. 29If only they were wise and would understand this and discern what their end will be! 30How could one man chase a thousand, or two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the LORD had given them up? 31For their rock is not like our Rock, as even our enemies concede. 32Their vine comes from the vine of Sodom and from the fields of Gomorrah. Their grapes are filled with poison, and their clusters with bitterness.New King James Version
