Deuteronomy 32:14-18
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 32
14Curds of the herd, and milk of the flock, With fat of lambs And rams, the breed of Bashan, and of goats, With the best of the wheat; And you drank wine of the blood of grapes. 15'But Jeshurun became fat and kicked— You have become fat, thick, and obstinate— Then he abandoned God who made him, And rejected the Rock of his salvation. 16They made Him jealous with strange gods; With abominations they provoked Him to anger. 17They sacrificed to demons, who were not God, To gods whom they have not known, New gods who came lately, Whom your fathers did not know. 18You forgot the Rock who fathered you, And forgot the God who gave you birth.King James Version
15But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
16They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.
17They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.
18Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.

He abandoned the God who made him and scorned the Rock of his salvation. 16They provoked his jealousy with different gods; they enraged him with detestable practices. 17They sacrificed to demons, not God, to gods they had not known, new gods that had just arrived, which your ancestors did not fear.New Living Translation
15'But Israel soon became fat and unruly; the people grew heavy, plump, and stuffed! Then they abandoned the God who had made them; they made light of the Rock of their salvation.
16They stirred up his jealousy by worshiping foreign gods; they provoked his fury with detestable deeds.
17They offered sacrifices to demons, which are not God, to gods they had not known before, to new gods only recently arrived, to gods their ancestors had never feared.
18You neglected the Rock who had fathered you; you forgot the God who had given you birth.
