Deuteronomy 3:6-9
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 3
6
We utterly destroyed them, as we did to Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children of every city.
7
But all the animals and the spoils of the cities we took as our plunder.
8
So at that time we took the land from the hand of the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, from the Valley of Arnon to Mount Hermon
9
(Sidonians call Hermon Sirion, and the Amorites call it Senir):
King James Version
Chapter 3
6
And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children, of every city.
7
But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves.
8
And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon;
9
(Which Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion; and the Amorites call it Shenir;)
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 3
6
We completely destroyed them, as we had done to King Sihon of Heshbon, destroying the men, women, and children of every city.
7
But we took all the livestock and the spoil from the cities as plunder for ourselves.
8
"At that time we took the land from the two Amorite kings across the Jordan, from the Arnon Valley as far as Mount Hermon,
9
which the Sidonians call Sirion, but the Amorites call Senir,
New Living Translation
Chapter 3
6
We completely destroyed the kingdom of Bashan, just as we had destroyed King Sihon of Heshbon. We destroyed all the people in every town we conquered — men, women, and children alike.
7
But we kept all the livestock for ourselves and took plunder from all the towns.
8
So we took the land of the two Amorite kings east of the Jordan River — all the way from the Arnon Gorge to Mount Hermon.
9
(Mount Hermon is called Sirion by the Sidonians, and the Amorites call it Senir.)
English Standard Version
Chapter 3
6
And we devoted them to destruction, as we did to Sihon the king of Heshbon, devoting to destruction every city, men, women, and children.
7
But all the livestock and the spoil of the cities we took as our plunder.
8
So we took the land at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, from the Valley of the Arnon to Mount Hermon
9
(the Sidonians call Hermon Sirion, while the Amorites call it Senir),
New International Version
Chapter 3
6
We completely destroyed them, as we had done with Sihon king of Heshbon, destroying every city—men, women and children.
7
But all the livestock and the plunder from their cities we carried off for ourselves.
8
So at that time we took from these two kings of the Amorites the territory east of the Jordan, from the Arnon Gorge as far as Mount Hermon.
9
(Hermon is called Sirion by the Sidonians; the Amorites call it Senir.)
New King James Version
