Chapter 26
4Then the priest shall take the basket from your hand and set it before the altar of the Lord your God. 5And you shall respond and say before the Lord your God, ‘My father was a wandering Aramean, and he went down to Egypt and resided there, few in number; but there he became a great, mighty, and populous nation. 6And the Egyptians treated us badly and oppressed us, and imposed hard labor on us. 7Then we cried out to the Lord, the God of our fathers, and the Lord heard our voice and saw our wretched condition, our trouble, and our oppression;King James Version

4And the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the Lord thy God. 5And thou shalt speak and say before the Lord thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous: 6And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage: 7And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 26
4"Then the priest will take the basket from you and place it before the altar of the Lord your God.
5You are to respond by saying in the presence of the Lord your God: My father was a wandering Aramean. He went down to Egypt with a few people and resided there as an alien. There he became a great, powerful, and populous nation.
6But the Egyptians mistreated and oppressed us, and forced us to do hard labor.
7So we called out to the Lord, the God of our fathers, and the Lord heard our cry and saw our misery, hardship, and oppression.

5You must then say in the presence of the Lord your God, ‘My ancestor Jacob was a wandering Aramean who went to live as a foreigner in Egypt. His family arrived few in number, but in Egypt they became a large and mighty nation.
6When the Egyptians oppressed and humiliated us by making us their slaves,
7we cried out to the Lord, the God of our ancestors. He heard our cries and saw our hardship, toil, and oppression.
