Deuteronomy 22:26-28
New American Standard Bible
King James Version
Chapter 22
26But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter: 27For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her. 28If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 22
26Do nothing to the young woman, because she is not guilty of an offense deserving death. This case is just like one in which a man attacks his neighbor and murders him. 27When he found her in the field, the engaged woman cried out, but there was no one to rescue her. 28If a man encounters a young woman, a virgin who is not engaged, takes hold of her and rapes her, and they are discovered,New Living Translation
English Standard Version
Chapter 22
26But you shall do nothing to the young woman; she has committed no offense punishable by death. For this case is like that of a man attacking and murdering his neighbor, 27because he met her in the open country, and though the betrothed young woman cried for help there was no one to rescue her.New International Version
