Deuteronomy 2:33-36
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 2
33
And the
Lord
our God turned him over to us, and we defeated him with his sons and all his people.
34
So we captured all his cities at that time and utterly destroyed the men, women, and children of every city. We left no survivor.
35
We took only the animals as our plunder, and the spoils of the cities which we had captured.
36
From Aroer which is on the edge of the Valley of Arnon and
from
the city which is in the valley, even to Gilead, there was no city that was too high for us; the
Lord
our God turned it all over to us.
King James Version
Chapter 2
33
And the
Lord
our God delivered him before us; and we smote him, and his sons, and all his people.
34
And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain:
35
Only the cattle we took for a prey unto ourselves, and the spoil of the cities which we took.
36
From Aroer, which is by the brink of the river of Arnon, and from the city that is by the river, even unto Gilead, there was not one city too strong for us: the
Lord
our God delivered all unto us:
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 2
33
The
Lord
our God handed him over to us, and we defeated him, his sons, and his whole army.
34
At that time we captured all his cities and completely destroyed the people of every city, including the women and children. We left no survivors.
35
We took only the livestock and the spoil from the cities we captured as plunder for ourselves.
36
There was no city that was inaccessible to us, from Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Valley, along with the city in the valley, even as far as Gilead. The
Lord
our God gave everything to us.
New Living Translation
Chapter 2
33
But the
Lord
our God handed him over to us, and we crushed him, his sons, and all his people.
34
We conquered all his towns and completely destroyed everyone — men, women, and children. Not a single person was spared.
35
We took all the livestock as plunder for ourselves, along with anything of value from the towns we ransacked.
36
The
Lord
our God also helped us conquer Aroer on the edge of the Arnon Gorge, and the town in the gorge, and the whole area as far as Gilead. No town had walls too strong for us.
English Standard Version
Chapter 2
33
And the
Lord
our God gave him over to us, and we defeated him and his sons and all his people.
34
And we captured all his cities at that time and devoted to destruction every city, men, women, and children. We left no survivors.
35
Only the livestock we took as spoil for ourselves, with the plunder of the cities that we captured.
36
From Aroer, which is on the edge of the Valley of the Arnon, and from the city that is in the valley, as far as Gilead, there was not a city too high for us. The
Lord
our God gave all into our hands.
New International Version
Chapter 2
33
the
Lord
our God delivered him over to us and we struck him down, together with his sons and his whole army.
34
At that time we took all his towns and completely destroyed them—men, women and children. We left no survivors.
35
But the livestock and the plunder from the towns we had captured we carried off for ourselves.
36
From Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Gorge, and from the town in the gorge, even as far as Gilead, not one town was too strong for us. The
Lord
our God gave us all of them.
New King James Version
Chapter 2
33
And the
Lord
our God delivered him over to us; so we defeated him, his sons, and all his people.
34
We took all his cities at that time, and we utterly destroyed the men, women, and little ones of every city; we left none remaining.
35
We took only the livestock as plunder for ourselves, with the spoil of the cities which we took.
36
From Aroer, which
is
on the bank of the River Arnon, and
from
the city that
is
in the ravine, as far as Gilead, there was not one city too strong for us; the
Lord
our God delivered all to us.
