Chapter 1
28Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there. 29Then I said unto you, Dread not, neither be afraid of them. 30The LORD your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes; 31And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place.Christian Standard Bible
29"So I said to you: Don't be terrified or afraid of them!
30The Lord your God who goes before you will fight for you, just as you saw him do for you in Egypt.
31And you saw in the wilderness how the Lord your God carried you as a man carries his son all along the way you traveled until you reached this place.
New Living Translation
29But I said to you, ‘Don’t be shocked or afraid of them!
30The Lord your God is going ahead of you. He will fight for you, just as you saw him do in Egypt.
31And you saw how the Lord your God cared for you all along the way as you traveled through the wilderness, just as a father cares for his child. Now he has brought you to this place.’
