Deuteronomy 11:18-26
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 11
18
You shall therefore take these words of mine to heart and to soul; and you shall tie them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets on your forehead.
19
You shall also teach them to your sons, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk along the road, when you lie down, and when you get up.
20
And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates,
21
so that your days and the days of your sons may be increased on the land which the
Lord
swore to your fathers to give them, as long as the heavens are above the earth.
22
For if you are careful to keep all of this commandment which I am commanding you to do, to love the
Lord
your God, to walk in all His ways and cling to Him,
23
then the
Lord
will dispossess all these nations from you, and you will dispossess nations greater and mightier than you.
24
Every place on which the sole of your foot steps shall be yours; your border will be from the wilderness to Lebanon,
and
from the river, the river Euphrates, as far as the western sea.
25
No one will
be able to
stand against you; the
Lord
your God will instill the dread of you and the fear of you in all the land on which you set foot, just as He has spoken to you.
26
See, I am placing before you today a blessing and a curse:
King James Version
Chapter 11
18
Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
19
And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
20
And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:
21
That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the
Lord
sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.
22
For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the
Lord
your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;
23
Then will the
Lord
drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves.
24
Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be.
25
There shall no man be able to stand before you: for the
Lord
your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you.
26
Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 11
18
"Imprint these words of mine on your hearts and minds, bind them as a sign on your hands, and let them be a symbol on your foreheads.
19
Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
20
Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your city gates,
21
so that as long as the heavens are above the earth, your days and those of your children may be many in the land the
Lord
swore to give your fathers.
22
For if you carefully observe every one of these commands I am giving you to follow—to love the
Lord
your God, walk in all his ways, and remain faithful to him—
23
the
Lord
will drive out all these nations before you, and you will drive out nations greater and stronger than you are.
24
Every place the sole of your foot treads will be yours. Your territory will extend from the wilderness to Lebanon and from the Euphrates River to the Mediterranean Sea.
25
No one will be able to stand against you; the
Lord
your God will put fear and dread of you in all the land where you set foot, as he has promised you.

New Living Translation
Chapter 11
18
So commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these words of mine. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders.
19
Teach them to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.
20
Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates,
21
so that as long as the sky remains above the earth, you and your children may flourish in the land the
Lord
swore to give your ancestors.
22
Be careful to obey all these commands I am giving you. Show love to the
Lord
your God by walking in his ways and holding tightly to him.
23
Then the
Lord
will drive out all the nations ahead of you, though they are much greater and stronger than you, and you will take over their land.
24
Wherever you set foot, that land will be yours. Your frontiers will stretch from the wilderness in the south to Lebanon in the north, and from the Euphrates River in the east to the Mediterranean Sea in the west.
25
No one will be able to stand against you, for the
Lord
your God will cause the people to fear and dread you, as he promised, wherever you go in the whole land.
26
Look, today I am giving you the choice between a blessing and a curse!
