Colossians 3:14-25
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 3
14In addition to all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. 15Let the peace of Christ, to which you were indeed called in one body, rule in your hearts; and be thankful. 16Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
18Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
19Husbands, love your wives and do not become bitter against them.
20Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord.
21Fathers, do not antagonize your children, so that they will not become discouraged.
22Slaves, obey those who are your human masters in everything, not with eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.
23Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord and not for people,
24knowing that it is from the Lord that you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.
25For the one who does wrong will receive the consequences of the wrong which he has done, and that without partiality.
King James Version
Chapter 3
14And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
18Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
19Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
20Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
21Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
22Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:
23And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
24Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
25But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

23Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people,
24knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ.
25For the wrongdoer will be paid back for whatever wrong he has done, and there is no favoritism.
New Living Translation
Chapter 3
14Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
16Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.
17And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
20Children, always obey your parents, for this pleases the Lord.
21Fathers, do not aggravate your children, or they will become discouraged.
22Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything you do. Try to please them all the time, not just when they are watching you. Serve them sincerely because of your reverent fear of the Lord.
23Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.
24Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.
25But if you do what is wrong, you will be paid back for the wrong you have done. For God has no favorites.
