Colossians 3:9-12
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 3
9
Do not lie to one another, since you stripped off the old self with its
evil
practices,
10
and have put on the new
self,
which is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created it—
11
a renewal
in which there is no
distinction between
Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave,
and
free, but Christ is all, and in all.
12
So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness,
and
patience;
King James Version
Chapter 3
9
Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
10
And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
11
Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
12
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 3
9
Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old self with its practices
10
and have put on the new self. You are being renewed in knowledge according to the image of your Creator.
11
In Christ there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free; but Christ is all and in all.
12
Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and dearly loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,
New Living Translation
Chapter 3
9
Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds.
10
Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.
11
In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.
12
Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
English Standard Version

9

man
who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,

Therefore, as
the
elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;
