Amos 2:11-14
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 2
11Then I raised up some of your sons to be prophets, And some of your young men to be Nazirites. Is this not so, you sons of Israel?' declares the Lord. 12'But you made the Nazirites drink wine, And you commanded the prophets, saying, ‘You shall not prophesy!’ 13Behold, I am making a rut in the ground beneath you, Just as a wagon makes a rut when filled with sheaves. 14Refuge will be lost from the swift, And the strong will not strengthen his power, Nor the warrior save his life.King James Version
Chapter 2
11And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites. Is it not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith the LORD. 12But ye gave the Nazarites wine to drink; and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not. 13Behold, I am pressed under you, as a cart is pressed that is full of sheaves. 14Therefore the flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mighty deliver himself:Christian Standard Bible
