Acts 9:21-26
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 9
21All those hearing him continued to be amazed, and were saying, 'Is this not the one who in Jerusalem destroyed those who called on this name, and had come here for the purpose of bringing them bound before the chief priests?' 22But Saul kept increasing in strength and confounding Jews who lived in Damascus by proving that this Jesus is the Christ.
23When many days had elapsed, the Jews plotted together to do away with him,
24but their plot became known to Saul. They were also closely watching the gates day and night so that they might put him to death;
25but his disciples took him at night and let him down through an opening in the wall, lowering him in a large basket.

Chapter 9
21But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests? 22But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.
23And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him:
24But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him.
25Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket.
26And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple.

New Living Translation
22Saul’s preaching became more and more powerful, and the Jews in Damascus couldn’t refute his proofs that Jesus was indeed the Messiah.
23After a while some of the Jews plotted together to kill him.
24They were watching for him day and night at the city gate so they could murder him, but Saul was told about their plot.
25So during the night, some of the other believers lowered him in a large basket through an opening in the city wall.
