but their plot became known to Saul. They were also closely watching the gates day and night so that they might put him to death;
25
but his disciples took him at night and let him down through
an opening in
the wall, lowering him in a large basket.
26
When he came to Jerusalem, he tried
repeatedly
to associate with the disciples; and
yet
they were all afraid of him, as they did not believe that he was a disciple.

Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket.

And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple.

When he arrived in Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, since they did not believe he was a disciple.

They were watching for him day and night at the city gate so they could murder him, but Saul was told about their plot.
25
So during the night, some of the other believers lowered him in a large basket through an opening in the city wall.
26
When Saul arrived in Jerusalem, he tried to meet with the believers, but they were all afraid of him. They did not believe he had truly become a believer!
