Chapter 8

31And he said, 'Well, how could I, unless someone guides me?' And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.
32Now the passage of Scripture which he was reading was this: 'HE WAS LED LIKE A SHEEP TO SLAUGHTER; AND LIKE A LAMB THAT IS SILENT BEFORE ITS SHEARER, SO HE DOES NOT OPEN HIS MOUTH. 33IN HUMILIATION HIS JUSTICE WAS TAKEN AWAY; WHO WILL DESCRIBE HIS GENERATION? FOR HIS LIFE IS TAKEN AWAY FROM THE EARTH.'
34The eunuch answered Philip and said, 'Please tell me, of whom does the prophet say this? Of himself, or of someone else?'

31And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. 32The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: 33In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.
34And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?

34The eunuch said to Philip, "I ask you, who is the prophet saying this about—himself or someone else?"

34The eunuch asked Philip, 'Tell me, was the prophet talking about himself or someone else?'
