And he said, 'Well, how could I, unless someone guides me?' And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

Now the passage of Scripture which he was reading was this:
'HE WAS LED LIKE A SHEEP TO SLAUGHTER;
AND LIKE A LAMB THAT IS SILENT BEFORE ITS SHEARER,
SO HE DOES NOT OPEN HIS MOUTH.

And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.

The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:

"How can I," he said, "unless someone guides me?" So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

Now the Scripture passage he was reading was this:
He was led like a sheep to the slaughter,
and as a lamb is silent before its shearer,
so he does not open his mouth.

The man replied, 'How can I, unless someone instructs me?' And he urged Philip to come up into the carriage and sit with him.
