Acts 3:13-18
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 3
13
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified His servant Jesus,
the one
whom you handed over and disowned in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release
Him.
14
But you disowned the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,
15
but put to death the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead,
a fact
to which we are witnesses.
16
And on the basis of faith in His name,
it is
the name of Jesus which has strengthened this man whom you see and know; and the faith which
comes
through Him has given him this perfect health in the presence of you all.
17
And now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, just as your rulers also did.
18
But the things which God previously announced by the mouths of all the prophets, that His Christ would suffer, He has fulfilled in this way.
King James Version
Chapter 3
13
The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.
14
But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
15
And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
16
And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
17
And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.
18
But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 3
13
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, has glorified his servant Jesus, whom you handed over and denied before Pilate, though he had decided to release him.
14
You denied the Holy and Righteous One and asked to have a murderer released to you.
15
You killed the source of life, whom God raised from the dead; we are witnesses of this.
16
By faith in his name, his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know. So the faith that comes through Jesus has given him this perfect health in front of all of you.
17
"And now, brothers and sisters, I know that you acted in ignorance, just as your leaders also did.
18
In this way God fulfilled what he had predicted through all the prophets—that his Messiah would suffer.
New Living Translation
Chapter 3
13
For it is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob — the God of all our ancestors — who has brought glory to his servant Jesus by doing this. This is the same Jesus whom you handed over and rejected before Pilate, despite Pilate’s decision to release him.
14
You rejected this holy, righteous one and instead demanded the release of a murderer.
15
You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. And we are witnesses of this fact!
16
Through faith in the name of Jesus, this man was healed — and you know how crippled he was before. Faith in Jesus’ name has healed him before your very eyes.
17
Friends, I realize that what you and your leaders did to Jesus was done in ignorance.
18
But God was fulfilling what all the prophets had foretold about the Messiah — that he must suffer these things.
English Standard Version
Chapter 3

Chapter 3
13
The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. You handed him over to be killed, and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him go.
14
You disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you.
15
You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.
16
By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see.
17
"Now, fellow Israelites, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your leaders.
18
But this is how God fulfilled what he had foretold through all the prophets, saying that his Messiah would suffer.
