But on the following night, the Lord stood near him and said, 'Be courageous! For as you have testified to the

about Me in Jerusalem, so you must testify in Rome also.'

When it was day, the Jews formed a conspiracy and put themselves under an oath, saying that they would neither eat nor drink until they had killed Paul.
13
There were more than forty who formed this plot.

And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.

And when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.
13
And they were more than forty which had made this conspiracy.

That night the Lord appeared to Paul and said, 'Be encouraged, Paul. Just as you have been a witness to me here in Jerusalem, you must preach the Good News in Rome as well.'

The next morning a group of Jews got together and bound themselves with an oath not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul.

There were more than forty of them in the conspiracy.
