and Jason has welcomed them, and they all act contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, Jesus.'

They stirred up the crowd and the city authorities who heard these things.

Whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king,

And Jason has welcomed them into his home. They are all guilty of treason against Caesar, for they profess allegiance to another king, named Jesus.'

The people of the city, as well as the city council, were thrown into turmoil by these reports.
