because He has set a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all people by raising Him from the dead.'

Now when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some
began
to scoff, but others said, 'We shall hear from you again concerning this.'
33
So Paul went out from among them.

Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by
that
man whom he hath ordained;
whereof
he hath given assurance unto all
men
, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this
matter
.
33
So Paul departed from among them.

because he has set a day when he is going to judge the world in righteousness by the man he has appointed. He has provided proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead."

When they heard about the resurrection of the dead, some began to ridicule him, but others said, "We'd like to hear from you again about this."

So Paul left their presence.
New Living Translation
Chapter 17
31
For he has set a day for judging the world with justice by the man he has appointed, and he proved to everyone who this is by raising him from the dead.'
32
When they heard Paul speak about the resurrection of the dead, some laughed in contempt, but others said, 'We want to hear more about this later.'
33
That ended Paul’s discussion with them,
