They formed a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem, and he fled to Lachish; but they sent

to Lachish after him and they killed him there.

Then they carried him on horses, and he was buried in Jerusalem with his fathers in the city of David.

A conspiracy was formed against him in Jerusalem, and he fled to Lachish. However, men were sent after him to Lachish, and they put him to death there.

They carried him back on horses, and he was buried in Jerusalem with his ancestors in the city of David.

There was a conspiracy against Amaziah’s life in Jerusalem, and he fled to Lachish. But his enemies sent assassins after him, and they killed him there.
