Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

He made Him who knew no sin
to be
sin in our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech
you
by us: we pray
you
in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

For he hath made him
to be
sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ's behalf, "Be reconciled to God."

He made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, 'Come back to God!'

For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
