2 Corinthians 5:15-17
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 5
15
and He died for all, so that those who live would no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose on their behalf.
16
Therefore from now on we recognize no one by the flesh; even though we have known Christ by the flesh, yet now we know
Him in this way
no longer.
17
Therefore if anyone is in Christ,
this person is
a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
King James Version
Chapter 5
15
And
that
he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
16
Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we
him
no more.
17
Therefore if any man
be
in Christ,
he is
a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 5
15
And he died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for the one who died for them and was raised.
16
From now on, then, we do not know anyone from a worldly perspective. Even if we have known Christ from a worldly perspective, yet now we no longer know him in this way.
17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!
New Living Translation
Chapter 5
15
He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.
16
So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now!
17
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
English Standard Version
Chapter 5
15
and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.
16
From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer.
17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
New International Version
Chapter 5
15
And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
16
So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.
17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
New King James Version
Chapter 5
15
and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
16
Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know
Him thus
no longer.
17
Therefore, if anyone
is
in Christ,
he is
a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
