2 Chronicles 32:20-24
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 32
20
But King Hezekiah and Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, prayed about this and called out to heaven for help.
21
And the
Lord
sent an angel who destroyed every warrior, commander, and officer in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned in shame to his own land. And when he had entered the temple of his god, some of his own sons killed him there with the sword.
22
So the
Lord
saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria and from the hand of all
others,
and guided them on every side.
23
And many were bringing gifts to the
Lord
at Jerusalem and valuable presents to Hezekiah king of Judah; so thereafter he rose in the sight of all nations.
24
In those days Hezekiah became mortally ill; and he prayed to the
Lord
, and the
Lord
spoke to him and gave him a sign.
King James Version
Chapter 32
20
And for this cause Hezekiah the king, and the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz, prayed and cried to heaven.
21
And the
Lord
sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valour, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came forth of his own bowels slew him there with the sword.
22
Thus the
Lord
saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all other, and guided them on every side.
23
And many brought gifts unto the
Lord
to Jerusalem, and presents to Hezekiah king of Judah: so that he was magnified in the sight of all nations from thenceforth.
24
In those days Hezekiah was sick to the death, and prayed unto the
Lord
: and he spake unto him, and he gave him a sign.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 32
20
King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz prayed about this and cried out to heaven,
21
and the
Lord
sent an angel who annihilated every valiant warrior, leader, and commander in the camp of the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria returned in disgrace to his land. He went to the temple of his god, and there some of his own children struck him down with the sword.
22
So the
Lord
saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the power of King Sennacherib of Assyria and from the power of all others. He gave them rest on every side.
23
Many were bringing an offering to the
Lord
to Jerusalem and valuable gifts to King Hezekiah of Judah, and he was exalted in the eyes of all the nations after that.
24
In those days Hezekiah became sick to the point of death, so he prayed to the
Lord
, and he spoke to him and gave him a miraculous sign.
New Living Translation
Chapter 32
20
Then King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz cried out in prayer to God in heaven.
21
And the
Lord
sent an angel who destroyed the Assyrian army with all its commanders and officers. So Sennacherib was forced to return home in disgrace to his own land. And when he entered the temple of his god, some of his own sons killed him there with a sword.
22
That is how the
Lord
rescued Hezekiah and the people of Jerusalem from King Sennacherib of Assyria and from all the others who threatened them. So there was peace throughout the land.
23
From then on King Hezekiah became highly respected among all the surrounding nations, and many gifts for the
Lord
arrived at Jerusalem, with valuable presents for King Hezekiah, too.
24
About that time Hezekiah became deathly ill. He prayed to the
Lord
, who healed him and gave him a miraculous sign.

So the

23
And many brought gifts to the
