Chapter 27

2He did what was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Uzziah had done; however he did not enter the temple of the Lord. But the people continued acting corruptly. 3He built the upper gate of the house of the Lord, and he built the wall of Ophel extensively. 4Moreover, he built cities in the hill country of Judah, and he built fortresses and towers on the wooded hills.

2And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Uzziah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the Lord. And the people did yet corruptly.
3He built the high gate of the house of the Lord, and on the wall of Ophel he built much. 4Moreover he built cities in the mountains of Judah, and in the forests he built castles and towers.

Chapter 27

2He did what was right in the Lord’s sight just as his father Uzziah had done. In addition, he didn’t enter the Lord’s sanctuary, but the people still behaved corruptly.
3Jotham built the Upper Gate of the Lord’s temple, and he built extensively on the wall of Ophel. 4He also built cities in the hill country of Judah and fortresses and towers in the forests.

2Jotham did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight. He did everything his father, Uzziah, had done, except that Jotham did not sin by entering the Temple of the Lord. But the people continued in their corrupt ways.
3Jotham rebuilt the upper gate of the Temple of the Lord. He also did extensive rebuilding on the wall at the hill of Ophel. 4He built towns in the hill country of Judah and constructed fortresses and towers in the wooded areas.
