and say, ‘This is what the king says: 'Put this
man
in prison, and feed him enough bread and water to survive until I return safely.'?’?'

But Micaiah said, 'If you actually return safely, the
Lord
has not spoken by me.' And he said, 'Listen, all you people!'
28
So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah went up against Ramoth-gilead.

And say, Thus saith the king, Put this
fellow
in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I return in peace.
27
And Micaiah said, If thou certainly return in peace,
then
hath not the LORD spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, all ye people.
28
So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramothgilead.

and say, 'This is what the king says: Put this guy in prison and feed him only a little bread and water until I come back safely.' "

But Micaiah said, "If you ever return safely, the Lord has not spoken through me." Then he said, "Listen, all you people! "

Then the king of Israel and Judah's King Jehoshaphat went up to Ramoth-gilead.

Give them this order from the king: ‘Put this man in prison, and feed him nothing but bread and water until I return safely from the battle!’'

But Micaiah replied, 'If you return safely, it will mean that the
Lord
has not spoken through me!' Then he added to those standing around, 'Everyone mark my words!'
28
So King Ahab of Israel and King Jehoshaphat of Judah led their armies against Ramoth-gilead.
