established the kingdom in his control, and all Judah gave tribute to Jehoshaphat, and he had great riches and honor.

He took great pride in the ways of the
Lord
, and again removed the high places and the Asherim from Judah.

Therefore the LORD stablished the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.

And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the LORD: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah.

Lord
established Jehoshaphat’s control over the kingdom of Judah. All the people of Judah brought gifts to Jehoshaphat, so he became very wealthy and highly esteemed.

He was deeply committed to the ways of the
Lord
. He removed the pagan shrines and Asherah poles from Judah.
