has abandoned you and has become your enemy?

Lord
has done just as He spoke through me; for the

has torn the kingdom from your hand and given it to your neighbor, to David.

Samuel answered, "Since the Lord has turned away from you and has become your enemy, why are you asking me?

The Lord has done exactly what he said through me: The Lord has torn the kingship out of your hand and given it to your neighbor David.

But Samuel replied, 'Why ask me, since the
Lord
has left you and has become your enemy?

has done just as he said he would. He has torn the kingdom from you and given it to your rival, David.
