Then David said to Abigail, 'Blessed be the
Lord
God of Israel, who sent you this day to meet me,

and blessed be your discernment, and blessed be you, who have kept me this day from bloodshed and from avenging myself by my own hand.

be
the LORD God of Israel, which sent thee this day to meet me:

And blessed
be
thy advice, and blessed
be
thou, which hast kept me this day from coming to
shed
blood, and from avenging myself with mine own hand.

Then David said to Abigail, "Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who sent you to meet me today!

May your discernment be blessed, and may you be blessed. Today you kept me from participating in bloodshed and avenging myself by my own hand.

David replied to Abigail, 'Praise the
Lord
, the God of Israel, who has sent you to meet me today!

Thank God for your good sense! Bless you for keeping me from murder and from carrying out vengeance with my own hands.

Blessed be your discretion, and blessed be you, who have kept me this day from bloodguilt and from working salvation with my own hand!
