And Jonathan made David vow again because of his love for him, because he loved him as he loved his own life.

Then Jonathan said to him, 'Tomorrow is the new moon, and you will be missed since your seat will be empty.

And Jonathan caused David to swear again, because he loved him: for he loved him as he loved his own soul.

is
the new moon: and thou shalt be missed, because thy seat will be empty.

Jonathan once again swore to David in his love for him, because he loved him as he loved himself.
