New American Standard Bible

30
Then Saul’s anger burned against Jonathan, and he said to him, 'You son of a perverse, rebellious woman! Do I not know that you are choosing the son of Jesse to your own shame, and to the shame of your mother’s nakedness?
31
For, as long as the son of Jesse lives on the earth, neither you nor your kingdom will be established. Now then, send
men
and bring him to me, for he is doomed to die!'
King James Version
Chapter 20
30
Then Saul's anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said unto him, Thou son of the perverse rebellious woman, do not I know that thou hast chosen the son of Jesse to thine own confusion, and unto the confusion of thy mother's nakedness?
31
For as long as the son of Jesse liveth upon the ground, thou shalt not be established, nor thy kingdom. Wherefore now send and fetch him unto me, for he shall surely die.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 20
30
Then Saul became angry with Jonathan and shouted, "You son of a perverse and rebellious woman! Don’t I know that you are siding with Jesse’s son to your own shame and to the disgrace of your mother?
31
Every day Jesse’s son lives on earth you and your kingship are not secure. Now send for him and bring him to me—he must die!"
New Living Translation
Chapter 20
30
Saul boiled with rage at Jonathan. 'You stupid son of a whore!' he swore at him. 'Do you think I don’t know that you want him to be king in your place, shaming yourself and your mother?
31
As long as that son of Jesse is alive, you’ll never be king. Now go and get him so I can kill him!'
English Standard Version

Do I not know that you have chosen the son of Jesse to your own shame and to the shame of your mother’s nakedness?
