1 Peter 5:4-6
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 5
4
And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.
5
You younger men, likewise, be subject to
your
elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because
God
IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT HE GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.
6
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time,
King James Version
Chapter 5
4
And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
5
Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all
of you
be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
6
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Christian Standard Bible

New Living Translation
Chapter 5
4
And when the Great Shepherd appears, you will receive a crown of never-ending glory and honor.
5
In the same way, you who are younger must accept the authority of the elders. And all of you, dress yourselves in humility as you relate to one another, for
'God opposes the proud
but gives grace to the humble.'
6
So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor.
English Standard Version
