1 John 2:15-18
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 2
15Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17The world is passing away and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God continues to live forever.King James Version
Chapter 2
15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 2
15Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For everything in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride in one's possessions--is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17And the world with its lust is passing away, but the one who does the will of God remains forever.New Living Translation
Chapter 2
15Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.English Standard Version
Chapter 2
15Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. 17And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.New International Version
Chapter 2
15Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 16For everything in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--comes not from the Father but from the world. 17The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.New King James Version
