1 Chronicles 26:10-16
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 26
10Also Hosah, one of the sons of Merari had sons: Shimri the first (although he was not the firstborn, his father made him first), 11Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, and Zechariah the fourth; the sons and relatives of Hosah were thirteen in all.
12To these divisions of the gatekeepers, to the chief men, were given duties like their relatives, to serve in the house of the Lord.
13They cast lots, the small and the great alike, according to their fathers’ households, for every gate.
14The lot to the east fell to Shelemiah. Then they cast lots for his son Zechariah, a counselor with insight, and his lot came out to the north.
15For Obed-edom it fell to the south, and to his sons went the storehouse.
16For Shuppim and Hosah it was to the west, by the gate of Shallecheth, on the ascending highway. Guard corresponded to guard.

Chapter 26
10Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons; Simri the chief, (for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him the chief;) 11Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth: all the sons and brethren of Hosah were thirteen. 12Among these were the divisions of the porters, even among the chief men, having wards one against another, to minister in the house of the LORD. 13And they cast lots, as well the small as the great, according to the house of their fathers, for every gate. 14And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counseller, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward. 15To Obededom southward; and to his sons the house of Asuppim. 16To Shuppim and Hosah the lot came forth westward, with the gate Shallecheth, by the causeway of the going up, ward against ward.Christian Standard Bible

10Hosah, from the Merarites, also had sons: Shimri the first (although he was not the firstborn, his father had appointed him as the first), 11Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, and Zechariah the fourth. The sons and relatives of Hosah were thirteen in all.
12These divisions of the gatekeepers, under their leading men, had duties for ministering in the Lord's temple, just as their relatives did.
13They cast lots for each temple gate according to their ancestral families, young and old alike.

Chapter 26
10Hosah, of the Merari clan, appointed Shimri as the leader among his sons, though he was not the oldest. 11His other sons included Hilkiah (the second), Tebaliah (the third), and Zechariah (the fourth). Hosah’s sons and relatives, who served as gatekeepers, numbered thirteen in all.
12These divisions of the gatekeepers were named for their family leaders, and like the other Levites, they served at the house of the Lord.
13They were assigned by families for guard duty at the various gates, without regard to age or training, for it was all decided by means of sacred lots.
14The responsibility for the east gate went to Meshelemiah and his group. The north gate was assigned to his son Zechariah, a man of unusual wisdom.
15The south gate went to Obed-edom, and his sons were put in charge of the storehouse.
16Shuppim and Hosah were assigned the west gate and the gateway leading up to the Temple. Guard duties were divided evenly.
