Chapter 25
6All of these were under the direction of their father to sing in the house of the Lord, with cymbals, harps, and lyres, for the service of the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under the direction of the king. 7Their number who were trained in singing to the Lord, with their relatives, all who were skillful, was 288.
9Now the first lot came out for Asaph to Joseph, the second for Gedaliah, he with his relatives and sons were twelve;
10the third to Zaccur, his sons and his relatives, twelve;
11the fourth to Izri, his sons and his relatives, twelve;
12the fifth to Nethaniah, his sons and his relatives, twelve;
13the sixth to Bukkiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve;
14the seventh to Jesharelah, his sons and his relatives, twelve;
15the eighth to Jeshaiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve;
16the ninth to Mattaniah, his sons and his relatives, twelve;

6All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God, according to the king's order to Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman. 7So the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in the songs of the LORD, even all that were cunning, was two hundred fourscore and eight.
8And they cast lots, ward against ward, as well the small as the great, the teacher as the scholar.
9Now the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph: the second to Gedaliah, who with his brethren and sons were twelve:
10The third to Zaccur, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:
11The fourth to Izri, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:
12The fifth to Nethaniah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:
13The sixth to Bukkiah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

6All these men were under their own fathers' authority for the music in the Lord's temple, with cymbals, harps, and lyres for the service of God's temple. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under the king's authority. 7They numbered 288 together with their relatives who were all trained and skillful in music for the Lord. 8They cast lots for their duties, young and old alike, teacher as well as pupil.New Living Translation
Chapter 25
6All these men were under the direction of their fathers as they made music at the house of the Lord. Their responsibilities included the playing of cymbals, harps, and lyres at the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman reported directly to the king. 7They and their families were all trained in making music before the Lord, and each of them — 288 in all — was an accomplished musician. 8The musicians were appointed to their term of service by means of sacred lots, without regard to whether they were young or old, teacher or student.
9The first lot fell to Joseph of the Asaph clan and twelve of his sons and relatives. The second lot fell to Gedaliah and twelve of his sons and relatives.
10The third lot fell to Zaccur and twelve of his sons and relatives.
11The fourth lot fell to Zeri and twelve of his sons and relatives.
12The fifth lot fell to Nethaniah and twelve of his sons and relatives.
13The sixth lot fell to Bukkiah and twelve of his sons and relatives.

Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under the order of the king. 7The number of them along with their brothers, who were trained in singing to the LORD, all who were skillful, was 288. 8And they cast lots for their duties, small and great, teacher and pupil alike.
9The first lot fell for Asaph to Joseph; the second to Gedaliah, to him and his brothers and his sons, twelve;
10the third to Zaccur, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
